Impact from 2 Gingerbread Lattes

These are challenging times for all non-profits and especially for new non-profits like New Mexico GLBTQ Centers.  In times like these it is good to have friends and we have over 400 on Facebook. What could we do if each of you donated just $10, the cost of two gingerbread lattes? A lot, read on.

Do you remember the feeling of loneliness as a kid thinking you were the only gay kid in the world? And the exhilaration when you found out you weren’t? Your contribution of $10 gives a glbtq youth a safe space to meet their peers for a day.

Our glbtq youth are 4 times more likely to attempt suicide than their straight peers. Your donation of $10 could save a young life by providing materials of a Lifeguard suicide prevention workshop.

Have you ever needed someone to talk with who understands being gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender or queer? Someone who has been through a situation you are now facing? Your $10 contribution covers the expenses of one support group meeting.

Remember feeling lost in a new town looking for the glbtq community? Looking for a place to meet someone that isn’t a bar? Your $10 contribution pays for Stonewall Coffeehouse and Open Mic night for a month.

Your $10 will have an impact!
